HOW DOES DIOLAZEXL ACTUALLY WORK?
Laser hair removal is achieved through a process called photothermolysis. Photothermolysis is the process of turning light from the laser into heat which damages the cells in the hair follicle. The light from the diode laser targets melanin in the hair shaft. This melanin absorbs the light and then transforms it into heat. This heat is conducted into the surrounding follicular cells, causing controlled damage to the cells. Only hair follicles that are in the anagen (active growth) phase are subject to the laser hair removal process. As every hair on the body can be in a different phase at any given time, multiple hair removal sessions are required to target all of the hair in a certain area.
